CHARLOTTE, N.C. (May 13, 2021) – Intelligent Buildings, LLC announced today it has promoted Scott Lanigan to Vice President of Government Services. In this role, he will continue to lead the company’s government practice, focusing on strategic consulting for Smart Buildings, cybersecurity, and organizational transformation.
“Scott provides both a vast depth of industry experience and an innovative, forward-thinking solution-finding mindset to each of our projects,” said Greg Hoogerland, President of Intelligent Buildings. “This new position is well-deserved and will provide him the platform to continue expanding our work in government services.”
Lanigan’s new role enhances his position to develop and implement Smart Buildings strategies and support contracting for budgeting and SOW development. He leads the facilitation of gathering user requirements for deploying use-based solutions and drives overall programs through project management planning and deliverables.
Lanigan manages resource allocations based on customer priorities. He sets goals and expectations for clients based on agreed-upon solutions and evaluates multiple technology solutions to identify best fits for business goals and objectives.
“I look forward to continuing my work with the team at Intelligent Buildings in this new role,” said Lanigan. “This position allows me to continue providing the best level of service to our current clients and creating new partnerships for mutual success.”
In Lanigan’s tenure at the company, he helped define the General Services Administration (GSA)’s Smart Buildings Program and align its building systems and facilities organization with its IT organization to create secure buildings. GSA’s Smart Buildings Program now covers more than 62 million GSF.
Before joining the Intelligent Buildings team, Lanigan worked in management and leadership roles in the real estate and technology sectors with Accenture, Pulte and Centex homes, and the North Carolina Research Campus. He served in the U.S. Army on active duty and the reserves as an Engineer Officer. He earned a B.S. in civil engineering from the University of Alabama and an MBA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Lanigan and his family are active in the United Methodist Church and are also registered as adoptive/foster care parents.
